While more and more companies utilize blog as a marketing tool, I attend only those events which I believe adds value to my blog. If I don’t believe in the product, why bother writing about it?

The 2008 Philippine Blog Awards  is now open for nominations. A few changes to this year’s awards. Three (3) awards divisions and a total of THIRTY-SIX (36) award categories will be open for nomination. This reflects the growing richness and diversity of the Philippine Blogging Community. This year's organizing committee is composed of Juned Sonido, Jayvee Fernandez, Gail De La Cruz-Villanueva, Jun Asis and myself who are also officers of the Philippine Blogger Awards, Inc, a SEC-registered, non-stock, non-profit corporation. Yes, basically the Philippine Blogger Awards, Inc. organizes the Philippine Blog Awards which makes us a legal entity.

The members of the committee and officers will change every year. We are just ironing out some kinks to finalize the final date and venue of the Awards Ceremony. We are looking at July 2008 or first week of August 2008.

There are NO FEES for the nomination or if one is nominated. Nominate your blog or your favorite blogs or just visit the Philippine Blog Awards.
